About Liss Cricket Club

Liss Cricket Club is situated in East Hampshire within a picturesque setting of the privately owned Glebe ground.

Since 2010 the club has been rebuilding and last season the 1st team sustained their place in the league and are again playing this year in Hampshire County Div 3 North. The club's 2nd Saturday league team is now in its 3rd season and are currently competing in Regional Div 3. The usual Sunday side still play regular friendlies and a midweek team participating in evening leagues and cups.

The First XI are now competing in Hampshire County Division 3 North. Packed full of youth and talent, we have some new players joining our ranks and the new look Saturday team are looking for another major promotion push over the next season to return back to County Division 2.

The 2nd XI are in Regional Div 3. This gives us the opportunity to build the club further allowing new players to join and allow the youth to mix with experience. This year is all about building on the last couple of seasons and bringing on the younger players for the good of the club.

The Sunday team play a mixture of teams over the season, competing against teams from a various standard of cricket. Always full of fun and laughs but with a positive outlook on still winning the game. Sundays are an integral part of Liss Cricket Club where any new players wanting to play are always very welcome.

After 2 seasons of training, the Colts have entered U11 and U15 teams into the SEHCA league and will be playing their first season of competition for a few years.  We are really excited about this and are welcoming new players to the club.

Anyone interested in joining the club as an adult, junior or non playing member please feel free to come along to any fixture (fixture dates can be found on this website), alternatively please call Chris Allcock on 07825374107 / 01730892911.

Match Reports
Liss 1st XI v Amport - Saturday 6 May 2017
Liss did not get their season off to an ideal start as they lost at home to Amport.
After winning the toss, Liss elected to bowl with Charles and Moore looking to put the visitors under pressure early on.  Moore made two early breakthroughs, leaving Amport 17-2.  The batting side dug in on what was a very tricky pitch and started to build a foundation.  Read more....

Liss 2nd XI v St Cross Syms - Saturday 6 May 2017
Liss II's made a winning start to the season with an emphatic 7 wicket victory over St Cross V.  Liss won the toss and elected to bowl on a good quality early season pitch; Lawrence Baker and Matty Evans opened the bowling to good effect, bowling tight lines and restricting the St Cross openers to a slow but steady initial run rate.  However, despite the probing lengths it was not until the 7th over that the breakthrough was made when the St Cross openers took off for a couple of runs only for Stone to be run out attempting the second run by a magnificent piece of fielding on the boundary from King.  Read more...
