LISS CRICKET CLUB GUIDELINES FOR DEALING WITH AN ACCIDENT

DIRECTIONS

Liphook and Liss Surgery

Turn left out of the ground onto Farnham Road.  Take the first left onto Station Road and drive approx. 1 mile to the roundabout.  Turn right at the roundabout and drive approx. 200m.  The surgery is on the right hand side.

 

 

Petersfield Hospital (Minor Injuries)

Turn right out of the ground onto Farnham Road and drive to the roundabout.  Turn left at the roundabout onto the A3.  Continue along the A3 for 3 miles and take the A272 exit towards A32/Alton/Winchester. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Winchester Rd. Continue to the roundabout and take the 3rd exit.  Turn right onto Frenchmans Rd and continue approx. 400m. Go through the roundabout onto Swan Street.  The hospital is on the right hand side.

 

 

QA Hospital (A&E)

Turn right out of the ground onto Farnham Road and drive to the roundabout.  Turn left at the roundabout onto the A3.  Continue along the A3 for 9 miles.  Keep right to continue on A3(M) for 6 miles, follow signs for Portsmouth/Hayling Island. Merge onto A27 Take the A3 (N)/A3 (S) exit towards Cosham/Hilsea. Keep right at the fork, follow signs for M275/M27/A3/A27.  At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Northern Rd/A397. At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on Northern Rd/A397. Turn left onto Southwick Hill Road B2177 and the destination is on the right hand side.

Ensure you always have access to a mobile phone

 

For minor injuries:

  • Take appropriate First Aid action
  • Allow the injured person to rest or continue as appropriate
  • Take the person to the minor injuries unit
  • Telephone the next of kin or emergency contact number (they will need to be present at Minor Injuries if possible)
  • Record any incident or injury and complete the accident book and relevant forms

 

For major injuries:

  • Arrange for injured person to be taken to hospital or ring for an ambulance
  • Administer First Aid if possible
  • Telephone the next of kin or emergency contact number
  • Record any incident or injury and complete the accident book and relevant forms

 

 

Contacting the Emergency Services

  • Please give the Emergency Services the full information
  • Keep calm and speak clearly
  • Give your name and state the service you require
  • Give the full name and address of the club (The Glebe, Farnham Road, West Liss, Hampshire GU33 6JU)
  • Give the location and details of the accident and the number of casualties
  • Give the condition of the casualty and any treatment or medication which has already been given
  • Make sure there is access for the ambulance to get to the injured person
  • Arrange for someone to meet the ambulance at the entrance

 

 

Make sure the rest of the group are adequately supervised and safe
